This role involves creating CAD models of custom machined parts and assemblies, conceptualizing new design solutions, and documenting design requirements with fully-defined engineering drawings. The CAD Designer C will also research COTS components, update documentation as directed, and create drawings for Circuit Card Assemblies, electrical cables, and other electro-mechanical assemblies. The position requires mastery of CAD modeling best practices, strong 3D visualization aptitude, proficiency with CAD software (Solidworks and/or CREO), clear communication skills, and experience with Microsoft Office products. The role also includes performing trade studies between design alternatives and the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of War Security Clearance. Occasional local travel may be required.
