About The Position

The CAD Designer C will be responsible for creating CAD models of custom machined parts and assemblies, conceptualizing new design solutions, and documenting design requirements with fully-defined engineering drawings. This role involves researching COTS components, updating documentation, and creating drawings for various electro-mechanical assemblies. Mastery of CAD modeling best-practices, strong 3D visualization, and proficiency with CAD software like Solidworks and/or CREO are essential. The position also requires clear communication, experience with Microsoft Office products, performing trade studies, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of War Security Clearance. Occasional local travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Mastery of CAD modeling best-practices
  • Strong 3D visualization aptitude
  • Proficient with CAD softwares; Solidworks and/or CREO
  • Clear & concise verbal and written communication
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of War Security Clearance
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years related experience

Responsibilities

  • Create CAD models of custom machined parts and assemblies
  • Conceptualize new design solutions

  • Create drawings for Circuit Card Assemblies, electrical cables, & other electro-mechanical assemblies
