About The Position

We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced CAD professionals with deep expertise in parametric modelling, multi-part assemblies, design intent, tolerancing, and Design for Manufacturability to contribute to advanced AI training and technical evaluation initiatives. Selected professionals will design and review complex assemblies, explain engineering decisions and trade-offs, document expert CAD methodologies, and contribute instructional insight that helps AI systems learn from high-quality real-world design practice. No prior AI experience is required; professional CAD expertise is the primary qualification.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional CAD design experience
  • Experience leading design decisions for complex multi-part assemblies
  • Strong expertise in parametric modelling and assembly design
  • Advanced proficiency in a major CAD platform
  • Familiarity with FreeCAD is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of component architecture and mating strategies
  • Experience with tolerance analysis and tolerance stack-ups
  • Solid knowledge of Design for Manufacturability principles
  • Ability to articulate design logic, constraints, and engineering trade-offs clearly
  • Experience reviewing or critiquing CAD designs
  • Strong written and verbal technical communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in remote and asynchronous environments
  • No prior AI-training or model-evaluation experience is required
  • Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary designs, CAD files, drawings, technical documentation, or other information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant tools may include SolidWorks, Creo, NX, CATIA, Inventor, Fusion, Onshape, or Solid Edge
  • Experience mentoring, teaching, or supporting other CAD professionals is valuable
  • Recognised credentials such as CSWE, CSWP, Autodesk Certified Instructor, Autodesk Expert Elite, ASME GDTP, or SOLIDWORKS Champion are highly valued
