About The Position

SAIC is seeking a CAD Design Engineer in San Diego, CA. This role involves building IRD and IDP's per NAVWAR standards, incorporating site redlines, and creating As-Built packages from install notes. The engineer will also create system drawing packages from written inputs and diagrams from engineering and ISEA teams, and develop network diagrams with serial and IP connections. A key responsibility is using integrated Excel-AutoCAD connections to manage technical data in CAD packages. The position requires collaboration with the engineering team to create schedules and prioritize drafting efforts, reviewing other drafting efforts before delivery, and completing site surveys necessary for creating technical packages. Requirements

  • Proficiency in CAD software, specifically AutoCAD.
  • Experience with Excel-AutoCAD integration for data management.
  • Ability to create system drawing packages from written inputs and diagrams.
  • Experience creating network diagrams with serial and IP connections.
  • Ability to perform site surveys.
  • Experience with NAVWAR standards.
  • Ability to incorporate site redlines and create As-Built packages.
  • Experience reviewing drafting efforts.
