About The Position

JLL is seeking a CAD/CAFM Analyst to function as a specialized CAD resource within the client's global CAFM team. This role involves delivering comprehensive solutions across CAD and CAFM programs, including advanced polylining methodologies for strategic space data management and planning initiatives. The analyst will support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous optimization of as-built drawings and associated facilities and real estate space data at granular space levels. This role is critical for strategically applying space data analytics and performance metrics essential for client success and driving technical drawing excellence. The position requires specialized expertise in AutoCAD, strategic space planning, and sophisticated CAFM systems to ensure data precision and client satisfaction. The analyst will document and update design layouts for office spaces and furniture configurations, develop polylines in accordance with BOMA standards, and systematically update technical drawings based on relocation and project specifications. Additionally, the role involves enhancing quality assurance protocols for space data management through client partnerships and implementing technological solutions.

Requirements

  • Proficient in AutoCAD for updating architectural as-built and furniture layouts.
  • Overall proficiency working in AutoCAD environment using palette toolbars, custom palettes, and LISP routines.
  • Understanding of client workplace standards.
  • Strong understanding of architectural and furniture plans.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills including PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
  • Demonstrated basic proficiency in Excel including pivot tables and ability to manage data effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex information in straightforward manner and communicate ideas concisely without personal bias.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of projects from multiple sources, prioritizing and executing work within defined SLAs and time-bound queues, while consistently delivering high-quality outcomes with strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills with ability to develop relationships leading to long-term assignments and strong collaboration abilities with conflict resolution capabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Drafting, Design, Engineering, or Architecture.
  • 1-3 years minimum work experience in CAD/CAFM technical and project-related experience in Corporate Real Estate environment.
  • AutoCAD proficiency particularly as applied in integrated CAFM solution with understanding of best practice document control processes, standards, and updating architectural as-built and furniture layouts.
  • Working knowledge of office space categorization principles (BOMA, OSCRE) including circulation, egress, common, core, and amenity.
  • Literacy in reading and interpreting floor plans to client portfolio data.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, Visio, and CAFM/IWMS systems such as Archibus, FMSystems, or related technologies.
  • Understanding of quality assurance and continuous improvement programs.
  • Understanding of Facilities, Real Estate, and Asset Management industry and practices in space planning, occupancy and allocation management.
  • Experience in construction drawings and documents.

Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain CAD documentation of office space and furniture layouts.
  • Maintain poly-lined drawings, space data, and occupancy data based on portfolio, move, and project information.
  • Update and maintain CAD drawings using standard furniture blocks, custom palettes, and LISP shortcuts while adhering to layer standards, file management standards, and established space standards.
  • Create polylines in accordance with BOMA standards, including floor areas and internal space types.
  • Apply space data and metrics important to client success and track accordingly.
  • Upload and integrate drawing data into CAFM system.
  • Update, maintain, and provide ongoing support to validate and verify accuracy of CAD/CAFM space types, identification, and related data.
  • Support quality assurance of space data.
  • Participate in internal project review meetings and apply feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Utilize overall proficiency in AutoCAD environment using palette toolbars and custom palettes with shortcuts to commonly used commands.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with LISP routines and shortcut commands.
  • Manage multiple projects from various sources.
  • Support development of innovative solutions for customers.
  • Potentially train and develop other associates in technical competencies.
  • Conduct site walkthroughs to validate drawing accuracy and space data integrity.
  • Verify that as-built conditions match the documentation in CAD drawings, identifying discrepancies in dimensions, room configurations, equipment locations, and spatial attributes.
  • Document all findings during walkthroughs, photograph discrepancies, and update CAD files accordingly.
