About The Position

As a Cabling Technician Co-op, you will work closely with our technicians gaining valuable experience through hands-on installation of cabling infrastructure, premise security and audio/video disciplines. Effective co-ops will have the ability to communicate with impact, have strong self-awareness, and will be naturally inquisitive.

Requirements

  • Strong computer skills and be able to demonstrate good writing skills.
  • Ability to work on a ladder for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to routinely lift 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools appropriately.
  • Current High School Student
  • 3.0 GPA or above
  • 2-weeks working/40-hour work week; 2-weeks attending school
  • Must be able to pass a government CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK, DRUG SCREEN, have RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION and possess a VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE or STATE IDENTIFICATION.

Responsibilities

  • Installing pathways and low-voltage cabling in new or existing buildings.
  • Termination of new cabling.
  • Testing and troubleshooting of cable.
  • Mounting network racks and cabinets.
  • Mounting and positioning network and surveillance equipment.
