Our facility in Goleta, CA is seeking a Cable & Harness Technician - Level 2 or 3 specializing in harnessing and related electrical assembly and test, with aerospace industry experience working on small, medium and/or large government and commercial programs. This position will be on 2nd Shift (Hours:12:00 pm - 9:30 pm)

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of additional education and/or related experience (for Level 2)
High school diploma or GED and at least 4 years of additional education and/or related experience (for Level 3)
Ability to read, write and work to instructions written in English.
Ability read and follow directions on engineering drawings and Schematics
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 40 pounds
Ability to be on feet for up to various hours each day
Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, and different shifts based on demanding manufacturing schedules
US Citizenship required

Nice To Haves

J-STD-001 Soldering Certification (expired okay- current preferred)
NASA STD 8739.1 Certification (expired okay- current preferred)
NASA STD 8739.4 Certification (expired okay- current preferred)
Knowledge of ESD and Flight Hardware handing
Demonstrated Mechanical Ability
Familiarity with solar cell technology and CIC wiring
Proficient use of basic shop arithmetic
Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Initiative, self-starter, adaptable, and high motivation for excellence

Responsibilities

Reviewing, interpreting, maintaining, and completing paperwork and electronic data associated with hardware assemblies to maintain data and material traceability.
Working with electrical harness assemblies, including interpreting schematics and building compliant electrical assemblies as well as conducting electrical tests such as continuity and insulation resistance.
Routing wiring harnesses on flight hardware.
Following procedure and direction from management as well as work from drawings or sketches, and collaborate with engineers to develop or proof new processes.
Working with soldering, wire stripping, contact crimping, contact insertion and removal, harness routing and strain relief.
Working with structural bonding and application of coatings using various epoxy and silicone adhesive products.
Working with a working level understanding of force, torque, and precision hand tools.
Working to follow and determine, optimum order of assembly for complex harnesses, mechanical structures, and devices.
