About The Position

This role involves hands-on work with cabling infrastructure, including pulling, dressing, and labeling various types of cables such as Cat5e/Cat6. The technician will learn and perform essential tasks like RJ45 connector and patch panel terminations, basic punch-downs for telecom blocks, and cable testing under supervision. There will also be exposure to fiber cable handling and dressing. A strong emphasis is placed on following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Pull, dress, and label cabling (Cat5e/Cat6)
• Begin RJ45 connector and patch panel terminations with guidance
• Assist in labeling and cable identification
• Learn and perform basic punch-downs for telecom blocks
• Support cable testing using basic tools (Fluke, EXFO) under supervision
• Gain exposure to fiber cable dressing and basic handling
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
