About The Position

Responsibilities

Splice various types and sizes of fiber optic cable including single mode, multi-mode, stranded and ribbon
Analyze and troubleshoot basic technical problems or issues
Review, interpret and work with various maps, drawings and blueprints and testing documents
Perform daily tests, checks and maintenance of splicing and testing equipment
Perform optical continuity and conformance testing
Make splicing rearrangements on existing facilities in buried, underground, aerial and building work locations
Install, maintain, and repair cable infrastructure
Perform maintenance on existing cabling systems
Test newly installed or relocated cables according to company specifications
Identify and remove redundant cabling
Install televisions, routers, and internet technology devices
Troubleshoot issues with the cable network
Install cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct
