About The Position
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irving, TX. The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Responsibilities
- Splice various types and sizes of fiber optic cable including single mode, multi-mode, stranded and ribbon
- Analyzes and troubleshoots basic technical problems or issues
- Reviews, interprets and works with various maps, drawings and blueprints and testing documents
- Performs daily tests, checks and maintenance of splicing and testing equipment
- Performs optical continuity and conformance testing
- Makes splicing rearrangements on existing facilities in buried, underground, aerial and building work locations
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing cable infrastructure
- Performing maintenance on existing cabling systems
- Testing newly installed or relocated cables according to company specifications
- Identifying and removing redundant cabling
- Installing of televisions, routers, and internet technology devices
- Troubleshooting issues with the cable network
- Installing of cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct
