Entry Level Cable Technician

About The Position
Our customer will be hiring upwards of 20 technicians to support their project in Amarillo. The technicians will work in a Data Center build environment, supporting the installation of infrastructure hardware such as - Ladder Racking, Ironwork and Cable Trays. Also working with Cat5 and Cat6 cable, may have some fiber work in the future along with security device work also - access control and cameras.
Requirements
- Experience with hand tools
- Working in a hands-on environment
- Experience dealing with a construction environment (noise, construction debris and materials around).
- Ability to communicate effectively in this environment for health and safety reasons.
- Experience with Cable, Cat6, Cat5, Installation, Install, Punchdown, Cabling, Cable installation, Low voltage, Cable puller, Structured cabling, Cable tech, Telecommunication, Electrical, Rack and stack.
Responsibilities
- Support the installation of infrastructure hardware such as Ladder Racking, Ironwork and Cable Trays.
- Work with Cat5 and Cat6 cable.
- Potentially perform fiber work in the future.
- Potentially perform security device work, including access control and cameras.
