We are currently looking for cable technicians of all experience levels—from entry-level candidates (School graduates) to more experienced techs. If you're newer, this is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door, with hands-on, on-the-job training provided. In this role, you will: Splice various types and sizes of fiber optic cable including single mode, multi-mode, stranded, and ribbon Analyze and troubleshoot basic technical problems or issues Review, interpret, and work with maps, drawings, blueprints, and testing documents Perform daily tests, checks, and maintenance of splicing and testing equipment Conduct optical continuity and conformance testing Perform splicing rearrangements on existing facilities in buried, underground, aerial, and building environments Core Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair cable infrastructure Perform maintenance on existing cabling systems Test newly installed or relocated cables according to company specifications Identify and remove redundant cabling Install televisions, routers, and internet technology devices Troubleshoot issues within cable networks Install cable support structures such as J-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct
