Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Experience in telecommunications or a related field is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of cable installation and repair techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to relate with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various conditions including confined spaces and heights.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain cable systems including coaxial and fiber optic cables.
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of service issues.
- Provide exceptional customer service during installations and service calls.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls and installations.
- Collaborate with team members and assist in training new technicians.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
- Handle equipment and tools with care to ensure their longevity and effectiveness.
- Respond to customer inquiries and determine service needs promptly.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry standards.
- Manage inventory of materials and supplies needed for installations.
