About The Position

CACI is seeking an experienced Cable Technician to build cables across multiple programs in a fast-paced team environment. Work includes Ethernet pinning, soldering, fiber cable builds, crimping and pinning wire, and potentially testing completed builds for verification. The role requires following work instructions and quality standards, working independently, and taking on tasks beyond cable work when needed.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in the cable build industry.
• IPC J-STD-001 certification.
• IPC 620 certifications.
• FOD awareness.
• ESD awareness.
• Ability to work in tight spaces requiring bending and crouching.
• Self-starter who requires minimal to no supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with fiber cable builds.
• Previous Aerospace/Defense industry experience.
• Previous testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings and wire diagrams.
• Pin Ethernet cables to IPC industry standards.
• Crimp pins to wire and pin them in connectors to IPC industry standards.
• Solder to IPC industry standards.
• Label cables.
• Follow work instructions and sign off steps.
• Complete a high workload at a fast pace while maintaining quality.
• Work overtime if needed.
• Perform work without supervision.
• Take on tasks outside of cable work.
• Execute testing to verify builds when assigned.
