About The Position

CACI is hiring a Cable Technician to build cables across multiple programs in a fast-paced team environment. The role includes Ethernet pinning, soldering, fiber cable builds, crimping and pinning wire, and potentially testing builds for verification. The technician may also take on tasks outside of cable work.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in the cable build industry.
• IPC J-STD-001 certification.
• IPC 620 certifications.
• FOD awareness.
• ESD awareness.
• Ability to work in tight spaces requiring bending and crouching.
• Self-starter who requires minimal to no supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with fiber cable builds.
• Previous aerospace or defense industry experience.
• Previous test experience.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings and wire diagrams.
• Pin Ethernet cables to IPC industry standards.
• Crimp pins to wire and pin them into connectors to IPC industry standards.
• Solder to IPC industry standards.
• Label cables.
• Follow work instructions and sign off required steps.
• Complete a high workload at a fast pace while maintaining quality.
• Work overtime if needed.
• Perform work with no supervision.
• Take on tasks outside of cable work.
