About The Position

TEKsystems Inc. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Telecommunications Technician to join our team in the Greater Nashville Area. This position offers a 6-month contract with the possibility of a permanent hire, along with comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and 401k benefits. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications systems and equipment, performing routine inspections, troubleshooting network issues, configuring and programming devices, collaborating with team members, providing technical support, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards. The ideal candidate will stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience in telecommunications or related field.
• Knowledge of telecommunications systems, including routers, switches, and cabling.
• Familiarity with VoIP, PBX systems, and network protocols.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
