About The Position

We are seeking motivated Cable Technicians with at least 1 year of structured cabling experience to support a large-scale project in the Omaha area. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your technical skills, work in a data center environment, and gain experience on a high-profile infrastructure project. The ideal candidate will have experience with copper and/or fiber installations, cable terminations, testing, labeling, and cable management.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of cabling experience
• Experience with: CAT5/CAT6 cabling, Cable installation and cable dressing, Termination and testing, Patch panels and punch-downs, Structured cabling systems, Copper cabling installations, Cable tray installation
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces when necessary
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record

Nice To Haves

• Fiber optic installation and testing experience
• Fusion splicing experience
• OTDR testing experience
• OSP and ISP cabling experience
• Data center experience

Responsibilities

• Install, route, and dress copper and fiber optic cabling
• Install cable trays and pathways
• Terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot CAT5, CAT6, and fiber cabling
• Perform patching, rack and stack, and network equipment installations
• Support fiber rough-in, final dressing, and documentation activities
• Read and interpret floor plans, drawings, and specifications
• Utilize copper and fiber testing equipment to verify cable performance
• Maintain job site organization, material management, and housekeeping
• Follow all customer security and safety requirements
• Work collaboratively with team members to complete project milestones
