About The Position

This is going to be a minimum of a 1 year Data Center Build out. Looking for individuals that can work inside and outside building out the data centers. Looking for hard working individuals. Hours Monday- Friday 6:45am-3:45am (but might change to 10 hour shifts). This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Temple, TX. The data center industry is experiencing tremendous growth, creating long-term career opportunities for technicians looking to build valuable technical skills. Requirements

Cat6
Punchdown
Cable installation
Tools: screwdriver (regular and Phillips), drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips (with belt sheath), pliers (needle nose and channel locks), hammer, cable stripper, flashlight, and gloves.
Able to lift 40lbs
Valid drivers license
Must possess and be proficient with the listed tools
No prior data center experience is required.
Motivated individuals with strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
Trade school graduates
Individuals seeking a career change into technology and infrastructure
Candidates with experience in: Electrical work, Carpentry, Concrete work, Drywall installation, Framing, Landscaping, General construction, Warehouse or other hands-on labor environments
Dependable individuals who show initiative, professionalism, and a strong desire to learn

Responsibilities

Pull cable
Assist Tech 2
Run and handle materials
Utilize hand/ power tools
Climb ladders
Layout and install wireway, buss duct, cable tray, switches receptacles and other devices
Will build closets (Mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware).
Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.
Complete all IDC connections (e.g. terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels).
Pulls wire and/or oversees and directs conduit installations and wire pulling.
Operates tools/equipment, normally requiring the use of two hands (examples: cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc.)
Assisting with the installation of low-voltage cabling systems
Pulling, routing, and dressing cable throughout the facility
Supporting experienced technicians with infrastructure installation
Learning data center cabling standards and best practices
Working as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment
Following safety procedures and project requirements
