Requirements

  • Requires minimum of 8 years related work experience.
  • Requires minimum 1 years managing team.
  • Familiarity with procedures for loading, laying, testing, and cable transfers between ships and depots required.
  • Familiar with ISO certification process and following appropriate procedures to comply with ISO requirements.
  • Familiarity with radiology concepts and methodologies.
  • Must have minimum of 1 year experience with cable Jointing including millennia and universal PC.
  • Knowledge (MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, DOCS OPEN).
  • Strong results orientation with a proven track record of flawless execution and strong attention to detail.
  • Candidates for positions with SubCom must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Employment eligibility verification will be required at the time of hire.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Impact-O-Graph Reading preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and perform cable and repeater jointing.
  • Ensure that personnel and jointing equipment on board vessels are capable of meeting the installation and maintenance requirements.
  • Provide joint and coupling material forecasts for construction and maintenance operations.
  • Provision of jointing deliverables required under contracts.
  • Maintain adequate shipboard supplies of materials for repair and construction operations, and on site tutelage.
  • Manage field and office Cable Splicers and ensure that their training and skill sets match the requirements for the project they are assigned to.
  • Ensure that all jointing equipment is in working order and that materials are adequate to meet the customer’s requirements.
