About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Cable Installation Laborer for a temporary position on our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of phone cable systems. You’ll be on the front lines, diagnosing issues, ensuring seamless service, and providing technical expertise to help maintain high-quality phone connections.

Requirements

Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
High School Diploma or GED
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Basic computer skills: to include experience in Word, Excel, and Adobe.
Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Clearance Level: National Agency Check (NAC) and must be able to obtain a secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

Run cable lines, install jacks, prepare closures, and connect telephone systems.
Perform regular maintenance on cables and connectors, replacing or repairing parts as needed.
Diagnose and resolve phone cable issues to ensure optimal performance.
Provide clear explanations and technical support to customers regarding their phone systems.
Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.
Adhere to safety guidelines and industry standards while working on-site.
Ensure all tools, equipment, and supplies are properly managed and maintained.
Review documented customer requests and verify the accuracy of the physical installation location.
Perform general construction tasks and operate hand tools.
