About The Position

Source Engineering & Manufacturing is hiring a Cable Assembly and Wire Harness Supervisor for their Plymouth, MN cable cell. This role is a 50/50 split between hands-on building and leading the production floor, which includes managing staffing, training, and ensuring workmanship standards. The supervisor will be responsible for owning the weekly workload plan, coordinating personnel and job movement, conducting performance reviews, and maintaining IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship standards. A significant portion of the role involves direct involvement on the production line to resolve bottlenecks and meet schedules.

Requirements

Deep hands-on cable and harness assembly background.
IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship standards experience, even without formal certification.
Supervisory or lead experience coordinating a production team, including training and holding people accountable.
Comfort planning staffing and hours against a live schedule.
Willingness and ability to hold performance and pay conversations directly and fairly.
Ability to read complex engineering drawings, wire lists, and schematics independently.

Nice To Haves

Current IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification (CIS); training provided if not already certified.
IPC/WHMA-A-620 CIT (Certified IPC Trainer).
J-STD-001 soldering knowledge and experience; certification is a plus but not required.
Prior Supervisor experience with review and wage responsibility.
Lean manufacturing/quality experience (5S, Six Sigma).
ERP/MES scheduling experience.
Control panel build experience.

Responsibilities
