About The Position

SEAKR Engineering is seeking an Electronics Assembler responsible for building cable assemblies for SEAKR hardware per IPC standards. The role involves crimping and soldering wires into back shells to create cables for flight hardware testing. The assembler will be part of the manufacturing team and may perform additional soldering and manufacturing tasks as directed by their supervisor. A critical aspect of this role is the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and travelers, along with prior experience in building cable assemblies. The Cable Assembly Technician is responsible for the quality fabrication of SEAKR support hardware and cables. This is a full-time, non-exempt position under general supervision, evaluated on results.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 2+ years experience in a high reliability production environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and travelers.
  • Experience building cable assemblies.
  • US Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

  • IPC certification in soldering per J-STD-001 or IPC-WHMA-A-620

Responsibilities

  • Crimp and solder cable contacts in accordance with IPC standards.
  • Cut and bundle wires in accordance with technical drawings.
  • Read and interpret schematic and cable drawings.
  • Verify quality of assembly prior to handing to Quality Assurance.
  • Effectively communicate manufacturing concerns with engineering.
  • Keep knowledge of manufacturing processes up to date.
  • Ensure that knowledge of SEAKR rules and regulations is up to date.
  • Ensure assigned manufacturing equipment is kept in a high state of readiness.
