About The Position

The Assembler will assemble finished products and the parts that go into them. They use tools, machines, and their hands to put together cabinets, casework, door framing, hardware and more. Team assemblers work on an assembly line, but they rotate through different tasks, rather than specializing in a single task. The company works with the concept of lean production, such as rotating tasks and seeking worker input on improving the assembly process. This role will need to work the assigned shift, including any mandatory overtime.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3-6 months related experience and/or training.
  • Basic mathematics.
  • Read and understand schematics and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in reading a tape measure.
  • Utilize situational awareness in detecting any deviation in the functioning of the machine.
  • Ability to understand read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ensuring that safety is always top priority while working.
  • Ability to work schedule as assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with tools and/or industrial machines preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Precision assembling or adjusting of part within very narrow tolerances and standard operating procedures.
  • Clean and maintain work area, tools, and other equipment.
  • Use of hand tools, power tools, glue gun throughout the shift.
  • Feed material through machines or “catch” material and stack them accordingly using rollers.
  • Follow instructions from more experienced employees to operate machines, hold or supply materials and tools, and load and unload items from machines and assembly lines.
  • Locate parts, tag them with identifying text and numbers, and record information such as gauge readings, products produced and manufacturing times.
  • Assist with quality control by reporting defective products or equipment malfunctions to higher-level employees, and if necessary, assist with any fixes.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance, arrive on time for scheduled shifts, and adhere to the company’s attendance policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
