About The Position

The Cabin Dispatcher is responsible for enforcing the safety and security of the cabin, instructing the team on cabin service operational functions and tasks, and working under pressure. This role involves reviewing daily reports to ensure tasks are completed on time, communicating efficiently with various stakeholders including AA, crews, tower, and upper management, and collaborating with other departments to ensure flights depart promptly. The dispatcher must comply with all security requirements of air carriers, ensure proper assignment of cabin service crews via the GHDS system, and report all operational issues and services provided to management promptly for billing purposes. The position requires utilizing available technology for communication with the airline (Connect me, Saber, and Cabin Appearance) and supporting additional airline requests.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of planning or dispatching relevant experience
  • 1 year or more of airport operation ground service, or relevant experience
  • Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Suites, i.e., Excel and Word
  • Ability to speak and understand Spanish / English
  • Great leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and delegate tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Professional appearance and adherence to the company grooming/uniform policy
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis
  • Flexibility to work additional hours beyond the regular shift, on short notice, and as needed during irregular operations
  • Ability to speak and be understood
  • Ability to hear and comprehend the English language
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift approximately 70 pounds
  • Ability to relocate in the event of an emergency

Responsibilities

  • Enforcing the safety and security of the cabin
  • Instructing the team on cabin service operational functions and tasks
  • Reviewing daily reports and ensuring tasks are completed on time
  • Communicating efficiently with AA, crews, tower, and upper management on daily reports
  • Working in conjunction with other departments to ensure flights are not delayed and leave promptly on time
  • Complying with all security requirements of air carriers
  • Making sure that all flights are properly assigned with Cabin service crews via our GHDS system
  • Reporting all operational issues to the management team promptly
  • Communicating with the crew chiefs and drivers on duty according to operational need
  • Utilizing all technology available to communicate with the airline (Connect me, Saber, and Cabin Appearance)
  • Supporting all additional requests made by the airline
  • Reporting all services provided to the aircraft for billing purposes
  • Supporting and following operational direction
