About The Position

The Cabana Attendant is responsible for attending to Member Cabanas, providing a clean, safe, and enjoyable experience throughout the duration of their stay.

Requirements

Availability to work a flexible schedule throughout summer season, including weekends and holidays
Strong interpersonal skills
Proactive in anticipating and responding to Members’ needs
Comfortable with taking direction, as well as communicating with co-workers
Highly responsible and well-organized in tending to needs/requests of Members and Guests
Minimum age requirement for this position is 17 if there is no serving of alcohol. All Cabana attendants who serve alcoholic beverages need to be at a minimum 18 years old to meet NYS Minor Law Guidelines

Responsibilities

Provide strong “customer friendly” service to all assigned cabana holders and Members
Open Cabana at the start of the day, setting up all furniture prior to Member and/or Guest arrival
Attend to assigned Cabana and bay partner cabanas when needed, including providing and refilling ice, and serving meals and snacks throughout day
Clean cabana shower and dressing areas daily
Assure sidewalk and deck areas around cabanas are kept clean and sand-free
Report any necessary repairs to supervisor and/or Maintenance Staff
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Adhere to all WCC guidelines, policies and procedures
Carry out all reasonable requests made by Aquatics Supervisors and/or Aquatics Director
Maintain friendly demeanor at all times, providing excellent customer service to Members and Guests
