About The Position

OPENLANE is seeking a C2D Sales Representative to support their consumer to dealer (C2D) program. This role is responsible for lead generation for consumer consignment through OPENLANE’s dealer marketplace. The position offers an opportunity to drive a positive customer experience, grow the C2D program in the local market, and gain sales experience. Additional responsibilities include coordinating local fleet & rental accounts and potentially supporting the redemption process for repo units by liaising with the national accounts team.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience / education
  • 1-2 Years’ of related experience or education in account coordination
  • Tech-savvy, and comfortable using Google Suite
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Effective customer relations, communication, enthusiastic, persuasive and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in sales is an asset
  • Prior experience within the automotive remarketing industry
  • Prior experience selling ancillary products and services
  • Experience with AMS, VTrace, and other OPENLANE systems
  • Bilingual (English/French)

Responsibilities

  • Drive superior customer experience to ensure customer satisfaction and build a referral network.
  • Support growth of the C2D customer base and act as a liaison between all Vehicle Logistics Center (VLC) departments, including sales representatives, consignment dealers and other VLC departments.
  • Educate customers on the best ways to utilize our systems and services, including pricing and negotiating bids.
  • Ensure ancillary services such as transport and shop services have been scheduled and completed.
  • Generates/prepares reports by gathering data from computerized systems (i.e. inventory reports and sales summary).
  • Coordinate the vehicle redemption process in accordance with customer and company requirements.
  • Supporting related customer service requirements; which may include answering calls, greeting walk in customers, taking payments, and processing requests.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction by communicating with clients; identifying & resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate the seller cheque process and ensure all assigned accounts are in good standing.
  • Coordinate the inventory and sale of local commercial and fleet vehicles by: entering data into the system, taking vehicles out of leasing, transmitting data through portal & other customer-facing systems, selecting vehicles to be featured on the internet , generating sales agreements and determining vehicle line ups.
  • Ensure sales vehicles meet specifications by: receiving condition reports, assessing and obtaining authorization for repairs and preparing necessary work order forms.
  • Negotiate sale of pending bids as per customer service level agreements (SLA).
  • Perform auction day duties such as customer service, auction representation and post-sale reporting.
  • Utilize OPENLANE’s CRM to log calls, run reports, and view dashboards.
