About The Position

PeopleTec is currently seeking a C2BMC and BOA Advanced Technology Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location. This role is responsible for assessing new technologies for C2BMC/BOA, working closely with the C2BMC and BOA Advanced Development Government Team Lead, other Advanced Development team members, and FFRDCs. The engineer will assess and develop technologies, and formulate strategies to transition C2BMC/BOA technologies to enable more efficient and effective Missile Defense Systems (MDS) capabilities. Responsibilities include coordinating actions with MDA stakeholders, external laboratories, FFRDCs, and UARCs to integrate promising technologies into the MDS, and identifying and coordinating transition plans to migrate proven capabilities into applicable C2BMC/BOA Future Spirals. The role also involves performing analysis and trade studies, identifying risks, and formulating requirements for C2BMC/BOA Advanced Development. Additionally, the engineer will assist the program manager in acquisition actions, coordinating for Government Furnished Equipment and Information, and assessing contractor performance. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, possess strong oral and written communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.

Requirements

12-15+ years experience as an engineer developing capabilities for a major DOW program that encompasses the total life cycle development of operational/tactical hardware and software.
Some experience with missile defense systems.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
B.S. in an engineering or science field.
M.S. STEM Degree.

Nice To Haves

Some experience in Technology Roadmap development.
Some experience in Command and Control system development.
Some experience in kill assessment.
Some experience in cloud migration.
Some experience in data mesh development and testing.
Current Top Secret/SCI is preferred.
Experience writing or reviewing technical proposals.
Knowledgeable of software acquisition strategies, best practices, and lessons learned from software development efforts for major weapon system procurements within DoW.
Ability to assess maturity of software code and overall Technology Readiness Levels.
Familiarity with exploitation of artificial intelligence, modeling and simulation tools, and knowledge of verification/validation/accreditation procedures.
Experience with model-based systems engineering, modular open systems architecture development, DevSecOps, and cloud migration to include use of COTS/GOTS software.

Responsibilities
