About The Position
This role involves stocking grocery items, ensuring they are organized on shelves, and maintaining the quality of products. The position requires customer service, knowledge of merchandise location, and the ability to operate certain equipment. Other duties within the Grocery department may be assigned by a supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Grocery department, stocking experience preferred
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent work preferred
- Must be 18 years of age
- Bilingual (English & Spanish)
Responsibilities
- Stock grocery items on to shelves and assure that items are neatly organized in the locations assigned.
- Safely use a cutting blade or knife.
- Organize, upkeep, rotate, and maintain back stock in good order and easily accessible.
- Oversee the quality of products before they are placed on sales floor for customers to purchase.
- Build neat and organized merchandise displays.
- Provide undivided attention and customer service to patrons.
- Know the location of merchandise.
- Suggest Company products and services to customers.
- Operate equipment and machinery such as baler, forklift, etc. based on operational needs.
- Other duties common to the Grocery department may be assigned by the supervisor as needed.
