About The Position

The C2 Apps System Administrator provides technical support, Operations and Maintenance (O&M), and system administration for Command and Control (C2) communications infrastructure. This includes VMware Horizon Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments, client systems, servers, and associated applications. The role monitors and troubleshoots systems, administers user accounts, optimizes performance, and helps ensure system security and availability. The position is onsite at Shaw AFB, South Carolina, and requires an active DoD Secret clearance to start, along with the specified DoD 8140 and technical certification qualifications.

Requirements

1–2 years of experience.
Active DoD Secret security clearance; clearance is required to start.
DoD 8140 DCWF 451, Intermediate Level certification.
One of the following certifications: NetApp Certified Storage Associate-Hybrid Cloud (NSCA-HC), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Data Center, VMware Certified Associate (VCA), Microsoft Certified Solution Associate (MCSA), or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

Perform technical support and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities for supported enterprise systems.
Install, patch, upgrade, tune, optimize, and repair hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and databases.
Design, develop, modify, and implement software applications and programs.
Develop and maintain middleware supporting client applications and security updates.
Provide Tier II technical support and troubleshooting services.
Install, configure, administer, and maintain physical and virtual server environments.
Manage user accounts, profiles, permissions, and access controls.
Monitor user access and ensure compliance with established security policies and procedures.
Analyze workstation and server logs to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues.
Provide technical support and expertise for assigned projects and initiatives.
Support desktop, server, and software application integration efforts.
Monitor system performance, utilization, and capacity to support availability, reliability, and recoverability, and report vulnerabilities and operational risks.
