About The Position

The C-Store Cashier provides customer service and supports a positive shopping experience by greeting customers, assisting with retail sales, and processing point-of-sale transactions. The role also maintains the appearance, cleanliness, and organization of the store and gas pumps, stocks and cleans the store, and supports a positive team environment. Candidates should be dependable, customer-focused, communicative, able to multitask under pressure, and willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis. The work environment typically has moderate noise. Physical duties include standing for extended periods and lifting up to 45 pounds.

• Provide jurisdiction-required work cards before the start date.
• Valid Health Card.
• Valid Alcohol Awareness Card.
• Ability to read and communicate verbally in English, including interpreting safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to stand, stoop, lift, wipe, reach, and type without assistance from others.

• Previous point-of-sale experience.
• Previous retail sales, gas station attendant, or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and greet all customers.
• Keep the store clean, neat, organized, and welcoming.
• Process accurate customer transactions using the point-of-sale system.
• Stock and clean the store.
• Maintain the cleanliness and management of the gas pumps and the outside appearance of the store.
