About The Position

ProSidian seeks a C&SCM Technical Writer / Documentation Specialist for Program Support on a contract basis. This role involves developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manuals, templates, and procedural documentation for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions’ (SRNS) Contracts & Supply Chain Management (C&SCM). The specialist will produce clear, controlled, publication-ready procedures, forms, guides, templates, and reference materials, focusing on compliance and consistency within the Nuclear and Environmental Management Sector. The position is hybrid, involving both on-site and virtual work, primarily in the Aiken, SC area and across the Southeastern USA Region.

Requirements

  • 5+ years technical writing, procedure writing, policy documentation, knowledge management, or controlled document development experience.
  • Experience with procurement, contracts, supply chain, federal compliance, or regulated operations preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, communications, technical writing, business, public administration, or related field; equivalent experience acceptable.
  • Procedure writing; plain language editing; document control; Microsoft Word styles/templates; SharePoint; version management; formatting; reference guides; terminology alignment; quality review.
  • Clarity; consistency; attention to detail; user empathy; quality control; organization; responsiveness; confidentiality.
  • Applies CMBOK, PMBOK, and NPMA terminology while keeping procedures understandable to a high school graduate audience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Proficient with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
  • Ability to quickly learn other tools as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develops SOPs, manuals, templates, and procedural documentation, ensuring clarity, compliance, and publication-ready deliverables.
  • Produces clear, controlled, publication-ready procedures, forms, guides, templates, and reference materials.
  • Develops detailed SCM operational procedures across procurement, logistics, inventory, and property domains, ensuring compliant execution consistency.
  • Produces all formal, usable artifacts for Deliverable #2 – Comprehensive Set of Procedures, including detailed process maps, SOPs, associated forms and templates, handbooks and guides, terms and conditions documents, and diagrams/flowcharts.
  • Creates quick reference guides and cheat sheets for key procedures, and visual aids to support training and daily operations (Deliverable #7).
  • Develops training manuals and presentations, interactive training modules, and e-learning materials to support revised and newly created procedures (part of Deliverable #4).
  • Drafts, edits, formats, and maintains SOPs, handbooks, guides, job aids, forms, templates, terms and conditions, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensures consistent terminology, readability, version control, formatting standards, and publication-ready Word/PDF outputs.
  • Establishes a communication plan that outlines the frequency and methods of communication with stakeholders.
  • Conducts an in-depth review and analysis of the prime contract, governing documents, and applicable laws.
  • Develops and customizes procurement and supply chain procedures.
  • Creates and updates supporting documents, forms, terms, and conditions reflecting the newly developed procedures.
  • Develops visually appealing flowcharts demonstrating the acquisition life cycle.
  • Implements support through both virtual and in-person training sessions.
  • Establishes mechanisms for continuous improvement by regularly collecting feedback and monitoring effectiveness.
  • Maintains procedural, form, and terms and conditions compliance resulting from changes to prime contract, governing documents, and applicable laws.
  • Supports Deliverables 2, 4, 7, and 8 by converting SME content into usable controlled documentation.
