About The Position

ProSidian seeks a C&SCM Technical Writer / Documentation Specialist for Program Support on an Exempt 1099 Contract basis. This role involves developing SOPs, manuals, templates, and procedural documentation, ensuring clarity, compliance, and publication-ready deliverables. The specialist will produce clear, controlled, publication-ready procedures, forms, guides, templates, and reference materials. This role is part of a Management and Operations Consulting Engagement for Nuclear and Environmental Management Energy, Infrastructure, and Environment Contracts & Supply Chain Management (C&SCM) Procedural Support, focusing on developing detailed SCM operational procedures across procurement, logistics, inventory, and property domains to ensure compliant execution consistency. The position is hybrid, with work performed on and off client sites, and virtually, generally located across the Aiken, SC and South Eastern USA Region.

Requirements

  • 5+ years technical writing, procedure writing, policy documentation, knowledge management, or controlled document development experience; experience with procurement, contracts, supply chain, federal compliance, or regulated operations preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, communications, technical writing, business, public administration, or related field; equivalent experience acceptable; certification in technical communication or document control preferred.
  • Procedure writing; plain language editing; document control; Microsoft Word styles/templates; SharePoint; version management; formatting; reference guides; terminology alignment; quality review.
  • Understanding and proficiency with business tools and technology, including Microsoft Office. The ideal candidate is advanced with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word; proficient with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio; and able to quickly learn other tools as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develops SOPs, manuals, templates, and procedural documentation, ensuring clarity, compliance, and publication-ready deliverables.
  • Produces clear, controlled, publication-ready procedures, forms, guides, templates, and reference materials.
  • Develops detailed SCM operational procedures across procurement, logistics, inventory, and property domains, ensuring compliant execution consistency.
  • Produce all formal, usable artifacts.
  • Drives Deliverable #2 – Comprehensive Set of Procedures: A full suite of procedures to support Contracts & Supply Chain Management, including: Detailed process maps; Standard operating procedures (SOPs); Associated forms and templates; Handbooks and guides for easy reference; Terms and conditions documents; Diagrams and flowcharts for visual representation of procedures; Any other supporting documentation required to ensure thorough understanding and efficient implementation.
  • Drives Deliverable #7 – Visual Aids and Quick Reference Guides: Creation of quick reference guides and cheat sheets for key procedures.; Visual aids to support training and daily operations.
  • Drives parts of Deliverable #4 – Training and Implementation Support Materials: Training manuals and presentations to facilitate the understanding and implementation of new procedures.; Interactive training modules and e-learning materials to support revised and newly created procedures.; Workshop and webinar schedules, including facilitator guides.

  • Establish a communication plan that outlines the frequency and methods of communication with stakeholders
  • Conduct an in-depth review and analysis of the prime contract, governing documents, and applicable laws
  • Develop and customize procurement and supply chain procedures
  • Create and update supporting documents, forms, terms, and conditions reflecting the newly developed procedures
  • Acquisition Life Cycle Flow Charts
  • Visually appealing flow chart demonstrating the acquisition life cycle
  • Implement support through both virtual and in-person training sessions
  • Establish mechanisms for continuous improvement by regularly collecting feedback and monitoring effectiveness
  • Maintaining procedural, form, and terms and conditions compliance resulting from changes to prime contract, governing documents, and applicable laws
  • Draft, edit, format, and maintain SOPs, handbooks, guides, job aids, forms, templates, terms and conditions, and supporting documentation; ensure consistent terminology, readability, version control, formatting standards, and publication-ready Word/PDF outputs.
  • Supports Deliverables 2, 4, 7, and 8 by converting SME content into usable controlled documentation.
