About The Position

The C-5 Loadmaster Instructor delivers classroom, simulator, and hands-on training for C-5 loadmasters, focusing on safe and effective cargo operations, airdrop, and emergency procedures. The role is regular, part-time, and non-exempt, and reports to the Site Manager. It has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Requirements

• Previously qualified as a C-5 Instructor Loadmaster.
• Have 1,000 C-5 flight hours, or 500 C-5 flight hours and 1,200 total flight hours (TFT) in mobility aircraft.
• Have a minimum of 200 C-5 loadmaster instructor hours.
• Have an associate degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• Be fluent in spoken and written English.
• Be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and practical instruction on C-5 loadmaster duties, including cargo loading, restraint, weight and balance, and airdrop operations.
• Operate Cargo Load Trainers, Fuselage Trainers, and other training devices as required.
• Evaluate student performance, provide feedback, and complete required training documentation.
• Support development and improvement of training materials, safety practices, and instructional techniques.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
