About The Position

Performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on Army C-12/ King Air 200/350/1900 aircraft. The level of hire is based on years of specific C-12/King Air hands-on A&P mechanic experience. Mechanics are responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness. These tasks are performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components. Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills. Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751. Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract. Know and understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software. Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary. Perform engine run or taxi operations. Meet requirement to obtain certification within 12 months of employment. Reads and interprets manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• A valid (FAA) A&P Certificate
• US Citizenship is Required to obtain the US Govt Secret Clearance and for facility/base access
• Must have the ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit
• A valid Driver's License
• Mechanic Tools and Toolbox are Required; Mechanics must provide their own Mechanic tools and toolbox, tools to be etched with mechanic PID, and toolbox shadowed for each tool
• Must be willing and able to work any shift assigned under the Union CBA
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization
• All personnel performing engine runs, ground taxi, ordnance loading, or operating self-propelled support equipment within Ten (10) feet of the aircraft silhouette must pass a physical examination from a qualified medical professional prior to conducting these operations, and subsequently on a specified periodic basis, not to exceed Five (5) years. (BMI Body Mass Index below 40 is required)
• Possesses a valid FAA Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) license and shows compliance with FAR 65.83, recent experience requirements
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
• Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining professional and non-confrontational attitude
• Stand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time
• Pull, push, lift up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

• Completion of formal maintenance training or Army Military training on the assigned (C-12/King Air OR UC-35 Citation) aircraft
• Recent full-time experience in aviation maintenance on the (C-12 King Air) is preferred during the past 12 months
• Prefer six (6) months of flight line and overhaul & inspection experience
