Location: Various municipalities across New Jersey Overview: As a Bylaw Enforcement Officer, you will enforce municipal bylaws and regulations. You will investigate complaints, issue warnings and citations, and educate the public on bylaw compliance.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Law Enforcement, Criminology, or related field.
- Experience in bylaw enforcement or related areas.
- Knowledge of municipal bylaws and regulations.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle stressful situations.
Responsibilities
- Investigate complaints regarding bylaw violations.
- Issue warnings and citations for non-compliance.
- Educate the public about municipal bylaws and regulations.
- Prepare reports and maintain records of enforcement activities.
- Attend court hearings as required.
