We are ready to hire an BYG-1 Offsite Integration Support Tech – Offsite Support for the Navy's AN/BYG-1 Submarine Combat System delivered to the United States Navy (USN) and Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Submarine fleet. Our close-knit team is passionate about delivering the best product to the Navy to help protect our country. Our team works closely with the Submarine community to develop solutions that allow the Navy to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience, plus 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree.
  • Ability to troubleshoot bash and perl scripts
  • Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7 - 9 operating system
  • Understanding of OS operation in a cross-platform environment (Linux/Windows)
  • Ability to install complex systems on a variety of hardware baselines
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair software and hardware problems
  • Experience cabling equipment racks to support system hardware components
  • Ability to move heavy computer equipment
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions
  • Integration support in an Agile development environment

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Experience with the AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System
  • Agile Development
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes orchestration
  • Knowledge of Ansible

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, develop and test to ensure the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety and other requirements in the total engineering effort
  • Configuring, installing and troubleshooting system hardware and software
  • Coordinating with onsite personnel to troubleshoot issues identified at offsite locations
  • Representing team’s progress and processes to non-program personnel
  • Supporting a Scrum team within an Agile development environment
  • Analyzes results and implements procedures for problems
  • May prepare reports, documentation/specifications as required
