About The Position

Responsible for obtaining Used-Car inventory through appraisals and by attending off-site auctions. The Buyer is responsible for making financially sound purchasing decisions for the Company. This job has direct supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

Excellent negotiating skills
Working knowledge of automotive sales industry.
Ability to deal effectively with customers and dealership personnel.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Products.
Intermediate knowledge and/or ability to learn the Dealership Management System and web based applications.
Ability to understand and follow instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
Valid Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinates wholesale auctions
Attends off-site auctions
Appraises vehicles at the store for trade-in
Negotiate pricing
Works with Technicians to understand vehicle condition and the subsequent costs involved in reconditioning
Contributes to improving sales and operations.
Understands the needs for department inventory.
Interacts with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
Attends required manager meetings.
Maintains CSI at or above Company standards
Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
Participates in required training
Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values
Complies with Company policies and procedures
Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
