About The Position

The Buying Assistant will be responsible for the administrative and operational tasks necessary to ensure a consistent and adequate supply of merchandise to both stores and online platforms. This role will support the daily operations within assigned buying areas and collaborate with Assistant and Associate Buyers on various tasks. The Buying Assistant will manage the product lifecycle, including overseeing the purchase order (PO) process, inputting UPCs, and entering global pricing. This position will support the Men’s RTW + ACC, Women’s RTW + ACC, and Lifestyle departments, contributing to the growth of omni channels to achieve seasonal sales and inventory objectives. A key focus will be on enhancing the online and social media presence. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of retail math and Excel, and a demonstrated knowledge of the retail market, with the primary goal of maximizing the Men’s and Women’s Multibrand businesses.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in buying, merchandising, planning, or a related retail function.
  • Strong understanding of retail math, inventory management, and business analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
  • Experience working with ERP systems preferred; Tableau experience is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial retail environment.
  • Knowledge of the luxury fashion market and current industry trends.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all stages of purchase order setup, entry, and style creation.
  • Input UPCs and maintain accurate pricing across all global regions.
  • Validate product, pricing, and purchase order data across systems to ensure accuracy.
  • Track merchandise receipts, transfers, and inventory movement to support seasonal sell-through goals.
  • Serve as a key point of communication between Stores, Store Operations, Logistics, and Accounts Payable to ensure timely product delivery and resolution of issues.
  • Coordinate weekly product shoots by partnering with Photography and Ecommerce teams to ensure accurate styling and online presentation.
  • Support operational efficiencies by identifying opportunities to improve and streamline buying processes.
