About The Position

The primary job function of the Buyer will be to develop and maintain sources of supply for components, materials, supplies, service, and equipment at the best possible cost while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management with a minimum of 1 year purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
Proven record of successful negotiations
Solid knowledge of purchasing procedures
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Self-motivated and a team player
Willing to work overtime as needed
Willing to travel domestic and international

Nice To Haves

SAP experience is a plus
Bilingual (German/English) is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

Prepare and send request for quotes to potential vendors per defined specifications
Review competitive quotes and execute negotiations to define the selected vendors
Execute purchase orders and monitor status to ensure on-time deliveries
Address and resolve issues with the vendor and evaluate vendor performance
