About The Position

About the Role As a Buyer, you will support the day-to-day execution of procurement activities across mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical commodities. You will manage purchase orders, supplier communications, delivery tracking, and system updates to ensure materials are available to support engineering builds and production requirements. This role partners closely with Global Supply Managers (GSMs), Planning, Engineering, and Finance to execute purchasing activities accurately and efficiently. You will thrive in a fast-paced hardware environment where responsiveness, organization, and attention to detail are critical.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or practical equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing experience.
  • Experience working with suppliers in a manufacturing or hardware environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage purchase order creation and updates, ensuring accuracy in pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and delivery commitments.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding purchase order acknowledgements, shipment schedules, and delivery status.
  • Track open orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain accurate procurement and supplier information within enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Support shortage management activities and escalate delivery concerns as needed.
  • Assist with request for quotation (RFQ) activities and quote collection.
  • Support supplier onboarding and documentation activities.
  • Coordinate with Planning and Engineering teams to support prototype and production builds.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies, receiving issues, and supplier-related administrative concerns.
  • Provide timely updates on material status and supplier commitments.
