About The Position

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Buyer is responsible for procurement activities in a centralized service including inventory, non-inventory goods and services. Assists with supply/service contract management for facilities and agencies as directed by the Procurement Manager according to established procurement policies. A skill test will be included as part of the selection process.

Requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent required
Two (2) year post-secondary program in Business or equivalent required
Two (2) or more years of experience in a supply chain environment
Advanced working knowledge and proficiency with a variety of computer software applications, specifically Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Ability to work in a self-directed environment and also effectively within an interdisciplinary team
Willingness to learn new computer programming

Nice To Haves

SCMA Certificate or an acceptable combination of education and experience would be considered an asset
Working knowledge of SAP operating system preferred
Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
