Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer literacy is a requirement. (Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Minimum 1 year purchasing, sourcing, or planning experience.
  • Must be willing to service internal customers.
  • Ambitious, eager and hard working.

Nice To Haves

  • Purchasing type MRP system (SAP) knowledge preferred
  • Motivated individual capable of learning and working as a team to procure parts, components, and services.

Responsibilities

  • Satisfying customer requirements of quality, quantity, and delivery, in a safe manner, while maximizing productivity.
  • Purchasing and negotiation of materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors.
  • Acting as the liaison at all levels between corporate, estimating, engineering, jobsites, remote offices, and services/spare parts and coordinating activities with manufacturing, engineering, sales and accounting.
  • Approves the choice of vendors and authorizes purchase orders based on business needs.
  • Research, identify and evaluate potential vendors and facilitate vendor selection.
  • Estimates fabricated mechanical and electrical components for entire organization.
  • Follow internal control procurement policies and procedures.
  • Develop specific annual purchasing objectives for assigned areas including cost reduction and quality improvement.
  • Prepares detailed cost tables to justify bidding, outsourcing and budgetary goals, and documentation to support budgetary and estimating requirements.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
