About The Position
Allient Inc. is currently seeking a Buyer to join our team in Reynosa, Mexico! The Buyer is responsible for purchases and planning while maintaining constant communication with vendors and shipping companies to make sure delivery dates are aligned.
Requirements
- Experience in purchases and/or planning and expedite raw materials (shortages)
- Maintain constant contact with vendors and shipping companies while deliveries are in route
- Have worked in Manufacturing industry
- Knowledge of customer order requirements and production capacity to acknowledge shipping dates for assigned production areas
- Notify if a critical delivery is going to be late
- Knowledge in communicate issues/concerns related to schedule changes caused by design problems, capacity limitations or material shortages to appropriate levels within the organization
- Bilingual (English - Spanish)
- MRP basic knowledge
- Knowledge of Microsoft office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of ISO 90001/IATF 16949 system is a plus
Responsibilities
- Purchases and planning
- Maintaining constant communication with vendors and shipping companies to make sure delivery dates are aligned
- Expediting raw materials (shortages)
- Maintaining constant contact with vendors and shipping companies while deliveries are in route
- Contacting suppliers to ensure that all dropship purchase orders were received and that deliveries will ship on time
- Communicating issues/concerns related to schedule changes caused by design problems, capacity limitations or material shortages to appropriate levels within the organization
- Communicating to the production and project management team in a timely manner issues/concerns related to schedule changes caused by design problems, capacity limitations or material shortages to appropriate level within the organization
- Managing and resolving PO purchase price variance issues
- Driving and negotiating supplier MOQ
- Collaborating with planning to effectively control material scheduling and planning
- Contacting suppliers to resolve Price, delivery or invoice issues
