Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate degree and/or equivalent experience considered
2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or buying experience within a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environment
Strong understanding of purchasing, requisitioning, and procurement processes
Experience working with ERP/MRP systems; Epicor experience is a plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications
Ability to read and interpret bills of materials (BOMs), drawings, specifications, and procurement documentation

Responsibilities

Manage procurement activities for manufacturing operations, including materials, goods, and services
Create and maintain purchase orders through ERP/MRP systems (Epicor experience preferred)
Conduct competitive bidding and vendor negotiations to drive cost savings
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through ongoing communication and performance management
Identify and implement cost-reduction and process-improvement opportunities
Partner with Engineering and Quality teams to qualify new suppliers and products
Monitor inventory levels to align with forecasts and production demand
Analyze market trends and supply chain conditions to support purchasing decisions
Ensure compliance with procurement strategies and company policies
Support import/export activities and supplier logistics coordination
Resolve invoice discrepancies and supplier-related issues
Assist with non-conformance and supplier quality processes when needed
