About The Position

The Buyer will be a detail-orientated person working within the purchasing department to source, negotiate and procure raw materials required for production while managing inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking. This position is in-office only. No remote work.

Requirements

Minimum of 3-years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong math, written, verbal and analytical skills
Excellent computer skills
Microsoft Office – intermediate level
Excel – advanced level
Inventory system software - intermediate level
Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with peers and functional teams.
Demonstrated confidentiality and the ability to represent the company in a professional manner.
Ability to work independently and take on new challenges
Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

Responsibilities

Be a key contributing team member
Create and/or processing purchase orders and maintain tracking of delivery
Evaluating and planning of raw material component(s) and / packaging products and their delivery
Establish and maintain vendor relationships.
Maintain vendor, inventory, and regulatory files
Carry out procedures involving quality and trial processes with suppliers
Set up new suppliers and / or service providers
Follow company policies and procedures
Follow up on all orders for proper authorization in a timely manner
Attend scheduling and / or production meetings as assigned
Monitor inventory for “Obsolete” materials
