About The Position

Advion is looking for a detail-oriented Buyer to join our Procurement team. In this role, you'll be the critical link between our engineers and suppliers - keeping production moving, managing costs, and ensuring our teams always have what they need, when they need it. Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience in procurement, planning, inventory management, or a related field
• A customer-service mindset with strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Experience with ERP software (JD Edwards a plus)
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage priorities
• A team-first attitude - you share knowledge, give constructive feedback, and pitch in where needed

Responsibilities

• Serve as the key connection between engineers and suppliers, providing product availability updates and expediting orders to meet customer demand
• Procure components, spare parts, and equipment for our office and laboratory needs
• Negotiate and select suppliers to balance the best combination of price, quality, and delivery time
• Maintain accurate part descriptions, pricing, and purchase order details within our ERP system
• Resolve order discrepancies by coordinating with vendors and our accounting team
• Process inventory transactions and troubleshoot inventory discrepancies
• Kit materials needed for product assembly
• Support special projects as assigned by management
• Help guide staff on procurement policies and best practices
