About The Position

We are looking for a Buyer to join our fast-moving, world-class organization in Camarillo, CA. We design, manufacture and supply high performance servo drives and motor controllers. From complete PWM servo control to custom servo solutions, AMC provides brushed and brushless motor drives all designed using our advancements in digital servo technology and seasoned analog servo expertise. Our products are used in a vast array of industries, ranging from Manufacturing, to Entertainment, to Robotics, to Homeland Security and Defense, to Medical Healthcare and many more. We are ITAR registered. Hired candidate must be US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-years electronics purchasing experience within the last 5 years
• Purchasing electronic components (examples: BGAs, Fets, power devices, transformers, etc)
• PCB purchasing
• Metal purchasing
• Proven negotiating and supplier management skills
• Analytical skills in understanding what to buy, when to buy, and quantity to buy, etc.
• Knowledge of MRP software
• Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills
• Work under moderate supervision
• Effective written and verbal communication
• US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident

Nice To Haves

• College degree
• APICS CPM
• Previous work experience with consignment programs

Responsibilities

• Purchase, expedite, negotiate, analyze requirements
• Work with engineering on possible part alternates
• Provide open order reports to suppliers
• Validate supplier open orders to ensure our system matches (quantity, due dates, price, etc)
• Work on MRB to request RMAs from suppliers
• Subcontract/outsource PO’s
• Work with accounting on discrepancies
• Work with the Warehouse group to support incoming material verifications, cycle counts and inventory levels
• Perform other assignments as required
