About The Position

In this temporary Buyer role, you will partner closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support mission‑critical programs in a fast‑paced, high‑accountability environment.

Requirements

  • Procurement and negotiation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience working in a high‑volume, deadline‑driven environment with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Buyer role
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to access restrictions.

Responsibilities

  • Purchase materials, equipment, supplies, and services in accordance with established purchasing policies and procedures
  • Manage procurement activities across a diverse portfolio, including services, maintenance, repairs, chemicals, electronics, machined parts, semiconductors, and hardware built to government and company specifications
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery, and commercial terms with suppliers
  • Track and report on open purchase orders, late orders, delivery schedules, and supplier on‑time performance
  • Follow up with suppliers to resolve delivery, quality, or documentation issues
  • Interface professionally with internal customers and external vendors
  • Support continuous improvement of procurement and compliance‑related policies, forms, and training materials
  • Perform all work with a strong focus on ethics, compliance, and safe work practices
