About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Buyer, Supply Chain to support procurement operations for an 18-month project. The Buyer will be responsible for processing purchase requisitions, placing urgent orders, resolving credit hold issues, and managing open purchase orders to ensure the timely procurement of goods and services. The ideal candidate has strong purchasing experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or another related field from an accredited institution; OR Associate's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or another related field plus three (3) years of related purchasing experience; OR Six (6) years of Buyer experience in lieu of a degree.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in procurement or supply chain purchasing.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency with ERP or purchasing systems.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and obtain required approvals.
• Place purchase orders, including expedited/rush orders as needed.
• Monitor and close open purchase orders.
• Resolve supplier credit hold issues and purchasing discrepancies.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with organizational purchasing policies and procedures.
• Assist with supply chain and procurement activities to support operational needs.
• Provide timely follow-up on outstanding orders and vendor communications.
