About The Position

A growing manufacturing company is seeking a Buyer / Planner to join its Supply Chain team. This role is responsible for purchasing materials and managing production planning activities to meet customer demand while maintaining efficient inventory levels. The position offers broad exposure to operations, production, inventory management, and supply chain planning in a collaborative manufacturing setting.

Requirements

• Prior manufacturing purchasing experience.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
• Skills in purchasing, planning, procurement, and supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Purchase materials, castings, and components to support production schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and place purchase orders to maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Coordinate material availability with production schedules and customer demand.
• Develop and maintain production and material planning schedules.
• Work with shipping, production, quality, and tool crib teams to support operational efficiency.
• Track supplier performance, delivery timelines, and order status.
• Resolve material shortages and communicate potential supply disruptions.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and planning records.
• Analyze demand requirements and coordinate replenishment activities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain and operations.
• Assist with inventory management and cycle count activities as needed.
